Jonathan Quick and the 163 Footer…

Every now and then we see a gaffe so mind bending, you almost want to watch it through your hands – such is the ‘cringe factor’ of it all.

From Vesa Toskala’s, some might say career defining,  bobble goal against the Islanders in 2008 to Dennis Wideman’s shootout blow out – even the games elite have their bad days.

Last night it was Jonathan Quick’s turn…

The Kings star stopper lost control of his stick during a power play and ended up turning Ryan McDonagh’s 163 foot clearance in to his own net!

It just gets more painful each time you watch!

Goalies everywhere can probably appreciate Quick’s ‘Earth, please swallow me up’ reaction.
