GB’s O’Connor Scores Slick Penalty Shot Goal

It’s the goal that swept across the internet; featuring on Puck Daddy, Bar Down and a whole heap of other hockey sites.

If somehow you missed it; here’s Team GB’s Ben O’Connor pulling off an immense move on a penalty shot against South Korea yesterday:

O’Connor’s slick finish proved to be the game winner, with GB topping their opponents 3-2 at the World Championships in Eindhoven, Netherlands. It also moved them in to pole position in Division 1 Group B with 8 points.

After regulation wins over Estonia and South Korea, and an overtime victory against Croatia, GB face hosts the Netherlands on Saturday before (hopefully) going for gold on Sunday against Lithuania.
